Development Assistant

Organization: Sidewalk Advocates for Life
Experience: The position requires the following skills: • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets • Ability to follow specific directions with a high degree of accuracy • Ability to learn complicated systems quickly and achieve mastery in a short period of time • Ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize well, ensuring all important deadlines are met • Ability to enter data quickly with a high degree of attention to detail • Knowledge of Giving Fuel or Donor Perfect a plus

Sidewalk Advocates for Life (SAFL) is a peaceful, prayerful, law-abiding (non-profit) organization whose mission is to “train, equip, and support local communities across the United States and the world in sidewalk advocacy: to be the hands and feet of Christ, offering loving, life-affirming alternatives to all present at the abortion center, thereby eliminating demand and ending abortion.”

SAFL currently has 193 locations across the globe, and serves local communities through a comprehensive, 3-point, sidewalk advocacy training, tools, and support program.  In less than 6 years on the sidewalk, the ministry has witnessed almost 10,000 babies saved, 70 workers leave the business, and 20 facility closures among a multitude of other blessings through God’s grace.

SAFL is looking for a mission-oriented, highly-motivated, detail-oriented individual who would assist the Vice President of Strategy with all matters related to development, including, but not limited to:

  • Contacting donors to thank them or solicit donations
  • Writing Thank you cards to donors
  • Writing the quarterly donor newsletter to large and monthly donors
  • Maintaining, updating, and pulling reports from our donor database and various donor tracking spreadsheets
  • Assisting with donor mailings, including
  • Other tasks, as needed

Applicants must own a computer, printer, and have reliable internet access. While the position will generally be 10 hours a week, you must be flexible to work more hours or less hours, as needed.
