Our Mission:
The Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns (GBCPC) is dedicated to educating and empowering women, giving them the freedom to embrace life. We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Mission Advancement Director to lead our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role is crucial in expanding our financial resources and strengthening relationships with donors, churches, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Development Strategy
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic development plan that ensures long-term financial growth.
- Set and achieve fundraising goals, securing major gifts ($5,000+), sponsorships, and event donations.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with donors, including Super Donors ($50,000+ lifetime giving) and Major Donors ($10,000+ total giving). Event Management & Donor Engagement
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all fundraising events, including the Baby Bottle Campaigns, Mission dinners, in person Event Fundraiser (300+people), and Christmas/End of year Appeal.
- Manage event logistics, working with partners, vendors, staff, and Board members to ensure success.
- Develop and implement a donor recognition program, ensuring timely acknowledgments, personalized outreach, and meaningful engagement with supporters.
Community & Church Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with churches, community organizations, and local businesses to expand GBCPC’s reach and impact.
- Represent GBCPC at community events, fostering partnerships that align with our mission.
- Ability to work with GBCPC team in Hispanic outreach to churches and donors Grants & Donor Communications
- Research and write grant proposals, identifying new funding opportunities.
- Maintain an up-to-date donor database, track giving history, and generate reports for leadership.
- Contribute to monthly newsletters and donor communications, ensuring clear and compelling messaging about GCPC’s impact
Financial Oversight & Administrative Support
- Work closely with the Executive Director to develop and manage the income/expense budget for fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording and allocation of funds.
- Prepare and maintain presentation materials highlighting GBCPC’s strategic plan, financials, and mission-driven achievements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and/or nonprofit development.
- Strong event planning and project management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with grant writing and donor database management
- Experience stewarding/cultivating donor advised funds (DAF)
- Passion for GBCPC’s mission and a commitment to making a difference.
- Ability to articulate and convey the mission effectively to groups large and small
- Ability to work nights and weekends when needed (church engagement/community
engagement - Experience using CRMS and cloud based platforms
